So let’s start!

Discussing Python versions

As Python programming language is developed by Guido Van Rossum in 1990, it is the successor of ABC language. If we talk about its version, its first version 0.9 released on 1991-02-20. to 1993-07-29 end. We did not need to use its first version, we have to work on the latest version because they add new functions, features, etc in the newly released version to improve performance.

The current Python version is 3.9 which is released on 2020-10-05, some programmers are using Python 2 version also. But it is your own choice that which version you want but recommended is that you have to use current versions. Sometimes you build an application in version 2 and your version 3 is released what do you have to do here?  do you have to use version 2 or 3? If you want to work specific version like 2 as the new version is released then you have to create a virtual environment.

The virtual environment is that environment in which you can build or work on any python version without creating interference with other versions.

Here is a complete list of Python versions you can get more details

Python Version

In this article, we will work with version 3.

You will get a successful message after completing the installation. Then you can click on the Close button because Python is successfully installed in your system.

Step3: Verify to check python is installed or not

There are different ways to check wheater Python is installed successfully or not. You have to open cmd (command prompt) just have to write python and press enter. You will see the different information about Python-like which version you have installed, your system information 64 or 32, etc. It means Pyhton is successfully installed in your system.

If you look at the screenshot you will get some information as

Note: I have already installed Python in my system, you will get different information about version, date, etc…

C:\Windows\system32\python
Python 3.8.7<tags/v3.8.7:6503f05, Dec 21 2020,17:59:51>…

Step4: Verify to Check PIP

Actually, Pip is the package manager software written in Python. When you install by default it is also installed in your system. But sometimes there is not installed pip in your system, in this section we have to verify wheater a pip is installed in your system or not.

You have to open the CMD command prompt and type pip –version and press enter. You will see different information related to pip as its version, python version, path, etc. If your system has no pip then you will get an error.

verify to check pip in system

If your system has pip installed then you can use pip to install and uninstall Python-based libraries or packages.

Just you have to write pip install package-name press enter specific package will be installed…

What is PIP?

PIP is used when you want to install/uninstall the package, as it is written in Python. We can say that it is the manager for Python packages when you want to install different dependencies for a project. When you install Python it automatically installs with Pyhton built-in libraries. Sometimes your packages did not install, the reason is that you using an old version of pip, so you should be notified that the pip package should be up to date.
